This weekend there was glamour in the air in Quebec City as our group of girls gathered at Rachel’s – the lovely lady in fuchsia in the above pic – for an evening of jewelry and fashion talk. Rachel sells Lia Sophia jewelry. Go take a look at the goodies here. Better yet, order some from Rachel, just in time for Christmas.
This is why I love fashion blogging. It puts me in contact with like-minded glam girls. I would love to spice up the vogue scene in Quebec City even more. Maybe a soiree of fashion advice and wine – would anyone be interested? A theme of how to expand your wardrobe by ample accessorizing and smart frock choice planning (being careful about not wearing the same stuff too much in a row) could be cool.
Look at these necklaces – with the best accessory of them all, a radiant smile.
A table full of goodies to choose from.
These earrings caught my eye. I love their majestic touch.
Cocktail rings… to go with your Cosmo!
A Lia Sophia bracelet Rachel had previously gifted me with.
Party munchies… girly bites of yummy.
Pretty statement necklaces.
Another pair of earrings that I found enticing in the Lia Sophia collection.
An innovative way to wear a long necklace.
Rachel is a bubbly persona whom I hope to see again. Glamour friends are hard to come by so once you bump into one, you just want to keep on developing the connection. Thank you Rachel – thank you glam girls! You made my weekend sweeter.
Have you seen the Chanel Fall/Winter 2014-2015 ready-to-wear fashion show in Paris? A video here (scroll down to the first March 6 post) and an interesting trend report here and the best Paris show looks here.
In the above pic Valerie and I are organizing our Tea Party at church. Yummy cupcakes and smoked salmon sandwiches. And a grand occasion to dress up like Coco!
This week in Paris the Great Karl had imagined a Chanel Shopping Center where the models strolled around freely as the audience admired the trendy shop hopper crowd. Lots of pinks and other peppy colors. The Master himself commented saying that “every woman wants to perk up the gray seasons with some colorful accents. This has to be done in style though.” My kind of style, for sure. Modern, shiny fabrics and street worthy shoes with luxuriously and timelessly chic silhouettes.
Don’t you just love the mix of “chic and shock”? Right down my alley.
Sparkles make everything better. Missy knows that.
Here in the North American Paris, we’re still huffing away some snow dust. But my pink is pushing thru, though. Bubbly spirit. No matter what may come. Like clogged sinuses.
Look what a genius combo – tweed with shiny pants! So edgy and contemporary. Brings it to this era.
The Chanel collection must have been inspired by macaroons, amarettis, biscottis and such. Such candied colors leave no one cold. At the daycare, when distributing crafting paper, the pink gets the biggest “who wants it ‘me-eeee’s”.
The above yummy accessory galore is found downtown Plattsburgh, upstate NY at the lovely Barbara’s boutique Caché Elegant.
Cupcakes make everything better, right? Baked by the stylish Valerie herself.
I’m fighting a cold. Have been the whole week. Today was the first day I had to miss work. Can’t teach a class when I’m not-in-my-groove state. Hopefully my visit at the walk-in clinic later today will go faster than last time in October – then the ordeal took me 5hrs! I’ll be armed with the latest issue of US Marie Claire. The subscription was my Xmas present.
