Here are my last Boston pics. We took the Boston Harbor Cruise (for about 30 bucks) and visited the surrounding areas for an hour and a half. It was a narrated tour and the guy in charge spoke with an Irish accent and was overflowing with enthusiasm. I like being on and by the water. There’s something soothing and dreamy about seas, lakes and oceans.
Life has been good recently. Last weekend I met with friends. Sebastien and I also went out to dance. Going to bed at 4a.m. from time to time does good to your soul. I equally took long walks and spent some time reading in the park. Today’s an easier schedule for me. I’ll take advantage of that and go out to enjoy some more park time, with a stop at Starbucks, naturally.
Here’s what downtown Honolulu looks like. It was fun strolling around the center and to admire the colonial style buildings. The weather was overcast but warm, nevertheless. Gray is gray anywhere. But the tropics sometimes need that too. You get a break from all the bright sunlight. I enjoyed wearing my hair on the top of my head in a high bun. The sparkle adorned tee gave me the little glam boost I wanted.
I took this vacay to really meditate on finding more peace in my life. I am inviting the spirit of zen into my life. I am searching for ways to be more poised and focused. I tend to get wired up in the hustle and bustle of everyday doings. So my challenge is to remind myself of my core, a strong calm place where I can always go for re-centering.
I or anyone doesn’t need to doubt their value. I do things in life to the best of my capacity. I can remind myself that my life has value. Just as we all have value. This is a steady block to build on. Feeling better inside goes hand in hand for me with fashion. The first glows from the inside, the second gives the sweet, added touch.
Here is what Mont Royal in Montreal looks like. The hill gives you the best view point over the city. Fall colors are in full bloom right now. North America really radiates at this season. There are so many fun activities to partake. I’ve enjoyed long walks in my Central Park. I’ll stroll energetically for an hour or two, then go journal and fashion mag read at my regular Starbucks. They often play jazzy tunes so that’s perfect as I jot down on the pages of my Vogue. I love the concept of writing over pretty, trendy images. My thoughts and fashion merges into the greater scheme.
I practice being happy for no reason as is the title of my favorite book. Purchasing that little wisdom packed, second-hand book two years ago upstate New York has ended up really impacting my life. Inviting positivity into my life is simple yet demands a more or less conscious of an effort. When I feel that my mood could get gloomier, I pull out my book and spend some time reflecting and meditating. Being happy starts where you are – things then follow that confirm the sentiment, but nothing or no one will make you happy if you yourself don’t pull it out from within. People and things can help you do that so just ask… I’m here, too.
