The sun is coming out more and more. You recognize some of those odors that tickle your nose. You’ve smelt them before. They remind you of something good. More light gives you more energy. You feel like changing. Adding or taking out.
My life is an interesting mix of three languages. At home I speak French, at work English and then there is Finnish. I don’t really know when it intervenes these days. Probably more often than I realize. It is a sort of a secret code of mine.
I went to the Seine riverbanks today. The first buds are coming out. Trees are getting green. Its feels quite exciting. I drew with pencil and oil pastels as I was listening to some of the latest techno dance pieces. I also had my lunch baguette sandwich looking at Notre Dame. It was very relaxing.
Today it rained, and rained some more. The spring is supposed to be ours, but no sign of it really. I’m waiting for an inspiration to grab onto pastels again. Lately I’ve done human figures, mostly ladies. I keep sketching this one person. I sometimes wonder where she comes from.
I think that art is a marvellous way to express yourself. When you tune up the music, get that brush in your hand and just let it go – you can feel the energy coming from within. The white canvas gets its first strokes that almost shock in the middle of all that pureness.
I’m a Finnish fairy Susu. It has been almost five years that I have been living in Paris. I came here out of curiosity. I started with an internship, then moved on to different French companies. Now I have settled down into my English teacher’s stable position for the last 1,5 years.
