I’m Still Standing

Between the ten-day getaway with my dear hubby up North – yep, I hit Finland again – and some blog bugs, I unfortunately haven’t  been able to write sooner. You dear blogland buddies have, nevertheless, been on my mind. I also recently learned that many “real friend” folks pop in on my world. How nice, a little ‘yey’ here to you too! So now I’m back, as renewed and refreshed as ever. Ready to take on some new wondrous adventures, for the near future mostly here on the beautiful French soil.

Hop on the Tube

The symbol is strong. So pure in color. So simple, thus timeless. That must be why tourists keep on photographing the London underground logo – and locals keep shuddering their heads. But deep down, I’m sure they must be feeling a hint of proudness. I mean, I would. This smart piece of color assemblage is a due reason for a lil’ ego trip.

Green, Green Grass of London

I hadn’t realized it so vividly on my previous visits that London is a veritable green city – at least compared to my dear Paris.

I See Red

I had already realized it last time I paid a call to London. There are a lot of red details everywhere. I got fascinated by these spry dashes of energy. They couple up to marvel with the vast, dark to light panoply of brick-walled buildings. London’s calling – hop on the red ride!

Primrose Dreams

We took a stroll over to the northern tip of Regent’s Park, in northern London, a picturesque area named Primrose Hill. Quaint pastel-colored Victorian townhouses and flourishing vegetation. A true daydream. From the 78-meter high Primrose hilltop you can get an amazing view over downtown London.

Euro Starlette

My enchanting ramblings about continue… tomorrow at dawn my best Parisian pal Sarah and I are heading up to London for a gals weekend out. On the program, the Tate Modern and the Tate Britain – comes as a no surprise that I absolutely feast on the former, all in doting on the latter too. Equally in view is a stopover at the Saacthi Gallery – some more modern art, a musical – we’ll get our places cheap on the same day since Sarah knows where to go, drinks at an inviting looking pub – we’ll choose one the go, and of course a dash of shopping as well as a Sunday stroll over to the Camden Hill park.
