Three weeks passed in my new homeland Canada. The Sweetie and I are spending the holidays just the two of us. The first of a kind! The plan is to get foods we each fancy, watch a movie and cuddle. On Christmas Day morning I will head to an English-speaking church I recently found. After all the relocation ruffles, some quiet time seems superb. I am going for sushi - interestingly here they call sushi what in Europe is referred to as maki. I desire the non-seaweed-wrapped kind. The papery texture of seaweed isn’t a big love of mine. Along with my Nippon treats, I will savor some red wine – a bottle that would cost 5 dollars in France is tripled here. Maybe my wine affection will have to slow down a tad. New country means different pleasures. Maple syrup cookies are excellent.

Chanel will be on the menu, too. In the form of a lipstick. Tiny treats are as delicious as big ones. I shall redden my lips to feel glam girly. Hop in the bubble bath. Read the Canadian Elle. One has to get accustomed, non?

I took the pictures around Quebec City. The holiday magic sure is jazzing. It makes me want to stand still, outside, and breathe un bon coup – a deep one. Life is here and now. I am blessed to prance through every day. Not always rosy, but real and fully felt.

My fashion choices for the Christmas weekend shall twirl around glittery things. I find nothing more luxurious and festive. Golden sprinkled high heels. A silver dusted dress.

Remember, take your time this festive pause! If so inclined, meditate on the very beginning of Christmas. Let the message softly speak to you. Wherever, whenever. It doesn’t have to be in a church. Treat yourself to a non-food pleasure, too. Be careful about eating mindfully. Indulge, but just to the point where you still feel nicely full. If you are like most, and do overeat. Take it easy. Go out for a walk and wait as long as it takes for your hunger to step back in.

Whew, here we are in Canada! As many of you figured out, my new home is in Quebec, in Quebec City that is! The sweetheart and I started our idea of moving to Canada over a year ago. We wanted to create a new life. See something different.

I was born and raised in Finland, got my high school diploma and some college studies in the U.S. – Wisconsin and Florida – then spent the last ten years living and working in Paris, France. Today I am eager to start a new chapter in my life. Also glad to be back on the American Continent.

See the excitement in my eyes as I am about to take off towards Montreal. Traveling chic, of course!

I had said that once I get to Quebec City and get my Tall Americano at Starbuckies that is when I’ll relax. So I got it, and chilled! It feels amazingly soothing to have arrived somewhere and to know that you don’t have to be on the move illico presto.  After two months of living out of a suitcase – and trying to be the minimum fash’ – this does have a sweet taste to it.

In the near future, I may not be able to blog as often as I usually do. Lots to organize over here, as you probably figured. The blog will undergo some changes as well… first and foremost the name. If you have any suggestions, scoot them over my way!  I do have an idea. Also, I plan to continue to blog about fashion, take outfit photos and pictures of the city. Just as you know this Susu. But if there are any other things you’d enjoy reading about, do tell me. I have been pondering about writing more about self-development and healthy living, or also a dash more about my actual daily life. But then again, would that really be of interest? I’ll write what my heart tells me, that is for sure.

Isn’t relaxing about being gorgeous just the way you are… with minimum effort, and max chic shock sequel? This is how I unwind. Throw on running shoes and let nature sweet talk to me. I feel urban and wild at the same time. Jump around and make sense of life. Once on the go, things seem to get more feathery. Issues issued out, loved ones brought near by the power of thought. This is glam life to me… living every passing moment with utmost input and appreciation.

Pouring my heart out here out of pure pleasure… blog sweet treats. Reading you. Feeling connected. Thank you cupcakes. Oh, and did I mention that mustard really is the color on me mind now?

After all my recent wayfaring, now is the time for some sweet n’ mellow Mediterranean Coast. The hubs and I – isn’t he cute strolling in acid washed jeans along the sandy shore – took some lover time off and are relaxing on the palmy-balmy beach. This has given me time to indulge in books and other fun reading. The U.S. Glamour, followed by its French sister. Then moving onto Marie-Claire.

I adore the sound of waves crashing onto the waterfront. I could listen to this soothing symphony forever. In the night we sneak out for mint chocolate sorbets. Talk about love. Live a scoop of happiness.
