I went back to work this week. I totally feel the post-vacation effect. I have more patience with the kids at the daycare. I sense a higher enthusiasm for explaining that tricky English grammar rule. My smile flows out with more ease.
Being back in your regular life feels… regular, yet there is something soothing about “things being the good old same, seemingly not moving”. In life, everything is in constant evolution, yet when you have that false sensation of “here and now just going on forever”, it does feel safe.
I’ve been skating and walking hefty amounts. Yesterday included a total of 3,5 hours of walkety-walking. I had already strolled quite a bit, when as I got out of work, I felt an urge to go home on foot. It ended up being a very good decision. Walks clear off my mind. They enable me to calmly sort out things and feel fresher in my body.
Today I plan to go do a little shopping. Sebastien and I have a date at the mall after work. I’ll get a Bath and Bodyworks shower gel and a new pair of earrings at Arden, if possible. I lost an earring yesterday. I see some Starbucks flowing in my way, too. Tonight we’ll go see a snowboard jumping competition Big Air.
Wishing you a yummy weekend!
