New York Vintage

Naturally this fashion fairy had to venture into the Greenwich Village and prance in Carrie Bradshaw’s footsteps. The area is very picturesque – a true peaceful haven in the hustle and bustle of a metropolises. Some of you might remember that some weeks ago, back in Paris, I was longing for some vintage wonders… well, there in the Village I bumped into some quaint little vintage boutiques. Almost fell for a furry zebra handbag.

The area that will remain my absolute coup de coeur – love at first sight – in NY is TriBeCa. The buildings have such amazing charm with their folding fire stairs and lovely architectural details. Fashion-wise this city seems to be about sexy, colorful and high killer heels. There are also lots of shorts and sequins around. A dear New Yorker friend Nubia advised me to pop into Arden B. – and she truly had captured my style. That place has some serious vogue.

Next time I shall be blogging from back home in Paris! Thank you for having followed my “grand American tour”. Three weeks have gone by so fast. Once home, I will be able to get back into my normal blogging routine, leaving comments on your sweet blogs, dear cupcakes!

Au revoir lovely New York, bonjour dear Paris!

  • Hello my dear!!!

I was JUST thinking of you!! LOVEEEE this color on you and your nails match perfectly… Such an adorable outfit… I just LOVE the brownstones, too… They’re one of my favourite things about NY!! When I was in London, I saw something similar and it immediately reminded my of this… Take care and hope to see you REAL soon… Weather’s lovely here this a.m. but it’s supposed to change tomorrow.. PLEASE bring some sun back with you…
    Hugs,
    Leese

How EXCITING!!! I have yet to visit that spot on Perry Street while visiting NYC. However, I’ve GOT TO do it the next time I’m there.

You look faaaaaaaaaaaaaabulous, girl! Love the dress and those awesome hose!!

    Isn’t TriBeCa the BOMB?

  • OMG, you are here, in NYC!! I’ve been out of touch for a while, just one thing after another. I needed a Susu fashion breach and decided to go to the computer where I can pull this up. It’s become a hunt to find one! I was supposed to go to a graduation in NYC this Thursday, but decided not to go. I’ll fill you in later my dear! In the meantime, enjoy your trip! BTW, you hair is to die for! It looks even longer and blonder! toodles ;)

  • I love your outfit – it’s to die for! And Carrie’s place is the perfect location for a fashion shoot!

  • What an amazing trip you’ve had! LOVE those fishnets!

  • So glad you had a great time here, Greenwich Village is definitely one of my favorite neighborhoods. We could’ve had a little blogger meet up! But oh well, maybe next time :)

  • Oh I miss NYC so much. Hope to go back next year! Loved your last posts on the city and I definitely agree about seeking out vintage places (especially in Brooklyn). Paris vintage is a little too contrived and overdone. Love that dress on you!

did you get something from the store?

  • YAHHH! Just now reading this post and it was so awesome having a drink in union square last week! you look HOT in that pink dress. So happy you liked Arden B.!

  • Mui Susu! Kiitos ihanasta viestistä :) Oli tosi hauska katsella sun matkakuvia.

  • Lovely dress, the colour suits so well to you!
    Amazing photos from NY.

  • Ah, Greenwich Village – I was born there and miss it so much! You look incredibly glamorous, my love – I am head over heels for those fishnets!! :)
