I recently stumbled upon the movie My Blueberry Nights (2007) with Jude Law and Norah Jones. And I just fell in love… love love and love. It’s a story of a café keeper in the twilight blue New York, under intriguing shadows of a squeaky subway. No one eats the blueberry pie, but somehow Jeremy, the café owner still keeps making it. Until one night, when the crepuscle ushers in a young mysterious woman. Jeremy and Elizabeth share a piece of pie, along with heart-breaking news. And then, scandalized, she takes off… soul-searching. He’s got to find her. To share a piece more. But she’ll only write him letters, from where he doesn’t know.
I could dwell on this film forever. I actually will. I’ll pull it out regularly and glide away for a time of a sweet nectar filling… These will be my blueberry nights. If any of your dears have seen the movie, please do tell if you fell under its charm.
