Call Me a Diva

…no, please do not! Well, if being a diva means arrogance. If, on the other hand, it signifies grace and generosity, a person who does what they can to change this world, to leave their little print, then I’d gladly be counted in. With this outfit a look back into Hollywood’s golden years. I love the shots of movie stars driving a convertible, sunglasses and a scarf carefully embracing their faces, leaving us in terrible desire to see more. Hoping the gracious wind would blow just a dash closer…

Living a glamorous life can be here and now. I often stop to wonder all the lovely things that surround me – sweet shades of light in the city, sunsets an sunrises, smells coming from bakeries or homes cooking pasta, pretty women dressed up in dainty boots and skirts, hurrying to catch their subway. I make my way into my favorite café, order my lil’ demitasse, and just dream away the time of a delightful sip!

The first image is my favorite. B&W definitely suits this look better and goes well with the bare Paris winter setting. Oh, I am already longing for Spring and Summer!

  6. I think the word diva has gotten a bad reputation as of late, but I do agree that it can mean grace and generosity, and Style! In which case, in all three of those, you certainly are! Love this outfit and your interpretation of it. So fresh and Spring you are!

well you know what you’re oh so very good at is accessorizing. Not everyone has that talent. The glasses look great on you and something as simple as a long string of pearls lends a sense of chic.
I really like the b/w shots of you, though for fashion’s sake I can understand that color photos are more important. That dress, too, is very versatile. I can see it with a low slung belt, or over leggings.

Do you also change your lipstick with each outfit? I am terribly lipstick-less, which is an awful habit. I feel I can only highlight my eyes or my mouth and I choose the former.

  9. The scarf breezily balanced on your head is effortless glam. Since I’m into knitting, wouldn’t you just look darling in cap of mine? Totally pulling your leg.

Thank you a million for the links to your works! The sketchy, sensual quality of a few in addition to your palette engage the eye and spirit. I feel I’m entering a private moment, a little shy to keep looking.

You should take some of your canvases to the streets, a fashion shoot surrounded and mimicking your pieces?

Old fashion glam in the black and white pictures. However, the bright pink accents with the black dress are both stylish and fresh. I adore.

Oh wow, and was that Parc de Sceaux ? <3

  13. I couldn’t agree more with what you wrote about movie stars and their mystery. I think you captured that well in this shoot, but of course with your own personal touch – the pink! Two thumbs up. :)

  14. super, j’adore cette serie de photos!
