I hadn’t realized it so vividly on my previous visits that London is a veritable green city – at least compared to my dear Paris.
London urban planners have conserved more space between buildings and also left room for larger green areas than in Paris.
Floral decorations are the kind of details that suit my eye – especially in urban surroundings.
Brick-house charm. This rough yet placid beauty goes so well on London. Coupled with lush private gardens. What more could you ask for?
A view from our Hotel Orlando.
If nothing else leafy around, the pub front goes green.
A very inviting menu -Â whether to go for he Angus beef burger or let myself be tempted by the cottage pie – right up facing the Thames.
These houses with quaint little gardens equally pave the Thames riverbank.
Somehow they reminded me of Anne of Green Gables. Tea and scones at five… I’m there!
Like Elvis sang “Hair of gold and lips like cherries. It’s good to touch the green, green grass of home”. Well, dream home.

I really love London. Only been there once, but was thoroughly impressed.
There are some people who say the architecture is boring. I think they’re missing the detail and the sense of age, which is irreplaceable.
Glad you had a good time there. Great photos!

Kitty – No way would I say that London is boring. It has its own kind of rough beauty.
