Euro Starlette

My enchanting ramblings about continue… tomorrow at dawn my best Parisian pal Sarah and I are heading up to London for a gals weekend out. On the program, the Tate Modern and the Tate Britain – comes as a no surprise that I absolutely feast on the former, all in doting on the latter too. Equally in view is a stopover at the Saacthi Gallery – some more modern art, a musical – we’ll get our places cheap on the same day since Sarah knows where to go, drinks at an inviting looking pub – we’ll choose one the go, and of course a dash of shopping as well as a Sunday stroll over to the Camden Hill park.

How much fun it is to be able just to take a few days off, hop on the Eurostar and savor the passing moments with a good friend. My husband has been great about this all in hoping I’ll get my full doze of art and inspirations. The London weather promises to be rather British for the up-coming weekend, but hey, a little rain never stopped anyone. I’m all set for some serious fun – the exiting punk city here I come!

  • How lucky you are? I love London.
    have yourselves a lovely time!

  • London is great and Tate Modern is so much fun. I used to live in London and my favorite place there was Hamstead Heat. It is perfect place to hang around and have a nice cup of coffee or tea. Btw your husband sounds like a really nice person, because he understands your free spirit and desire to travel.

  • Kitty – It sure was magical. Just easygoing fun with a very good friend! I’ll write more about it here later. Right now I have to get back on track here back home in Paris. A return to reality.

Spark – You have lived in London… how exiting! I’ll have to hit the part of the city you suggested next time. Yesterday we adventured to Camden Town and it was very lively and interesting. Lots of folks but all in a jolly atmosphere.

  • Oh dear… my two fav cities ever ! If I didn’t live in Paris it would definitely be London.

  • Maurelita – I can very well picture you in London. Such a bright colored and vibrant city! We had such a great weekend.

  • London – awww! :) That city is the place where I could go over and over again. I’m happy to hear that you had a good time and you enjoyed everything that London has to offer.

  • Pupuce – I highly recommend a gals’ weekend out. You get a full head sweep out.
