It can keep you going in marvelous ways and long after the actual experience. I'm sure I'll enjoy immensely visiting the Metropolitan of Modern Art. Thank you for making me think of that. All in all, I'll try to make the most of my time in NY art visit wise. Kitty - Sounds like you're talking about the Parc de la VIllette exhibition center, but I might be wrong. The neighborhood in that area is a bit shabby, but they organize great concerts. Pompidou is also in an area known as not one of the safest hoods in Paris, but in daylight it's pretty safe. I can relate to the sudden need to see something inspirational or simply different. I've only been to the museum once. It is really way the heck out there isn't it? I just remember a walk down a long, long road with stalls selling tons of stuff on either side. Then a grey neighborhood and this huge park out of nowhere. Parc de la Villette was fun.
