A fondue night, to warm up those spirits. Sebu did a gret job as an ecellent chef, once again! Tarja and Jari were visiting us for a few days.

Cheese melted in white wine... You dip your cruton into it! And every once in a while you take a sip of your Alpine white wine... not bad, as the French say!

The region around the city of Reims is from where champagne comes from. The bottles are stored in huge cellars located underneath Reims. We visited the cellars of the famous Taittinger champagne house.

Taittinger had asked international artists to design bottles for them.

They store them the nose down and turn them regularly by hand.

This cellar was built under the monastery St-Nicaise (destroyed a long ago).

This cellar is 10kms long and contains about 18 million of bottles.

In front of you, about 16 000 bottles of best quality champagne (about 230 /piece).
The harvest of 2000 - to be drunk 2008 onwards.
